Angola
The Gengibre discovery on Block 32, in ultra-deep-offshore
confirmed as promising.
The Belize field in deep-offshore brought on stream on Block 14 as
part of the BBLT (Benguela-Belize-Lobito-Tomboco) development
project (TOTAL, 20%).
 
Norwegian Sea
Acquisition of an additional 30% of the Victoria discovery, raising
TOTAL's interest to 50%, and the sale of 5% of the Group's interest
in the Tyrihans field, reducing it to 21.51%.
 
UK North Sea
The Forvie North gas and condensate field comes on stream
(TOTAL operator, 100%).
 
Yemen
Oil discovery on Shabwa East (TOTAL operator, 28.57%). Jathma-1
is the first well in a 3-well exploration program targeting a new zone
in the northern part of Block 10.
 
 
 
February
 
Angola
Fifth oil discovery (the Mostarda-1 well) in the ultra-deepwater Block 32
(TOTAL operator, 30%).
 
Australia
Acquisition by TOTAL of an interest of 30% in the exploration
permits WA-369-P and WA-370-P, located approximately
150 kilometers offshore in water depths of around 1,400 meters.
 
United States
TOTAL refocuses its exploration and production business
in the Gulf of Mexico with the announcement that it is putting
two mature fields up for sale, Bethany and Maben, located in
East Texas and Mississippi respectively.
 
Libya
Seventh oil discovery on Block NC186 (TOTAL, 24%).
 
Norway
Tyrihans field (TOTAL, 21.51%) development plans approved
by the Norwegian Parliament.
 
 
March
 
China
Signature by TOTAL of a Production Sharing Contract for
the evaluation, development and production of the natural gas
resources of the South Sulige block of Ordos Basin, an area
of around 2,390 square kilometers located in the Province of Inner
Mongolia, onshore China. The contract is subject to approval
by Chinese authorities.
 
Cameroon
TOTAL has been awarded by the government the Bomana
exploration block in the offshore Rio Del Rey basin.
TOTAL will be the operator of this block with a 100% interest.
 
Bangladesh
Entry into the offshore exploration blocks 17 and 18 (TOTAL, 60%).
The purchase is presently undergoing approval by the Bangladesh government.
 
Congo
Oil discovery in the Mer Très Profonde Sud block (TOTAL operator, 100%),
located around 180 kilometers southwest of Pointe Noire.
 
UK North Sea
Start of production of the Glenelg gas and condensates field
(TOTAL operator, 49.47%).
